RANGPO, Sikkim, 15 October 2012

Rinchen Dolma Bhutia, a permanent resident of Pachak under Rhenock constituency in East Sikkim, has been crowned as Miss Himayala Pageant on October 14. The competition, held in Himachal Pradesh, had five contestants. Rinchen (23) was adjuged the winner. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with the crown.

Daughter of Kenzon Bhutia, Headmaster of Upper Pachak Primary School, and Sukrani Tamang, Panchayat education assistant, Rinchen completed her study up to secondary in Sikkim, and then in Sikkim quota went to Chandigarh for her studies in tourism and hospitality management.
