The Himalayas are known for their natural beauty and different type of culture, tradition, and peoples. There are different type of ranges and valleys exist some of them covers with snow whole year such as Zanskar Valley, Rohtang Valley, and Kangra valley, Chamba Valley, Dun valley etc. Such type of striking feature makes Himalayas different from rest of the India.
There are many tribes here like Gaddis, Khamba, Lahora, Pangwala, Kinnauri, Nepalese, etc. Everyone has there own culture which makes them different from one another. Every festival is celebrated here some of the famous festival of this region are Holi, Lohri, Losar, Halda, Phulech, etc.
Himalayas people are almost monogamous but polygamy is also exist in this region. Some of the well known marriage customs are Bandha Dena, Batta Satta, Anakang, Notting Feerang, etc. Himalayas people are best known for there different kind of dresses such as Jurkhi, Chola Dora, Sari, Ghagra and suthan and the most famous Himachali cap. Peoples of this region used different kind of ornament and jewellery like Jhumkas, Chaunk, Kanbali, Phuli, Laung.
Himalayan people are also known for a different kind of folk dances and drama some of them are the Demon Dance, the kayang, the Bakayang, the Chohara Dance, the Shabu Dance, the Jhanjer Dance. Himachal Pradesh Kullu naati is World famous that recently created a world record on the theme Beti Bachao.
Himachal Pradesh is known for its unique art and culture some the famous art forms are from the Gupta art, Pala art, Khasa art and Indo Tibetan art. Himachal is also known as land of god and goddess, a district names as Mandi is referred as Chhoti Kashi. All these feature makes Himalayan states more beautiful and unique. It’s nature and culture attracts thousand of tourist every year.
