Hello Jampa la, It is fine to express your opinions, even if they are negative. However insulting language is not allowed on this website. Also it is also not allowed to make accusations without any evidence.

Please enter your comment again, in language that is used by civilized people. Remember that people view this website around the world — make them proud of how Tibetans use the free speech that they have outside of Tibet!

Culturally, religiously, geo-politically, and socially, the Himalaya people are closely connected with tibet. So, at such a critical time, would it be more useful for Wangyal la to ask the Himalayan people to pay solidarity with Tibetans in Tibet? rather than having such a thing as a pageant?

There should be intervention from himachal pradesh govt since these program mes are only benifits of individual. I have grown up with Lob sang in tipa road.

So this has to be banned forever. They mislead foreigners girl and take them to bed thats it.

Lobsang la, Last time I heard that Miss Tibet contest won’t be held this year as a gesture of Solidarity due to the self-immolations, but now what i see here is there is another beauty pageant going to be held (is it a kind of substitute of Miss Tibet Pageant ?) I think it will be little unfair….if I may say….

[ this comment has been deleted for unacceptable language ]

    To Dawa Tashi —

This is the webmaster of MissHimalaya.com. Please know that Lobsang Wangyal la does *not* know that i am writing this. It’s 2am in India, and he’s probably asleep. (However, in a minute this will be published — so he will know soon! 😀 )

Dawa la, It is fine to express your opinions about Lobsang Wangyal, even if they are negative. However insulting language is not allowed on this website. Also it is also not allowed to make accusations without any evidence.

You are welcome to enter your comment again, in language that is used by civilized people.

I heard that Tibetans are only good at bashing each other, and not for doing anything to help each other. Is this true? Then why should i be wasting my time helping Tibetans?

Please tell me how your comment helps Tibet. How does it help Lobsang Wangyal do a better job? How does it give foreigners the inspiration to help Tibet?

How about helping Tibet instead of cutting people down? You can contact me at webwalker.to/contact.php — I will be happy to give you my contact info, and we can discuss further.

Do you have the guts to do that?

      The web master,
it is good that you have deleted a comment of Mr. Dawa Tashi, that might be an unacceptable language. but I see some unacceptable and insulting language from your side too. you said, “I heard that Tibetans are only good at bashing each other, and not for doing anything to help each other. Is this true? Then why should i be wasting my time helping Tibetans?” are you saying this because you are good friend of Mr. Lobsang Wangyal la.
May be he told you that or he is some of Few Tibetans who are good at what you heard.

Lots of Respect all the Tibet Supporters

        Hi Kunga la —

Thank you for opening this dialogue! it is good to talk 🙂

        > see some unacceptable and insulting language from your side too
No – please read again. I did not say that Tibetans are only good at bashing each other! “I heard that Tibetans are only good at bashing each other.” In fact, i have heard this, many Tibetans have said this to me! (in private conversations of course). I was using this to try to make a point: Mr Dawa Tashi was bashing Mr Wangyal in his comment, and i was trying to make him think, what effect his comments could have on people, and on the cause we are all working for. If Western supporters see those kind of words that Dawa la was saying, whatever would they think of Tibetans! I don’t think it would be good.

        You make another good point:
        > are you saying this because you are good friend of Mr. Lobsang Wangyal
It is understandable that people would think this. However there are two factors here:

One is, you do not know that i am a “good friend” of Mr Lobsang Wangyal la. I am his supporter, and i have worked with him for a long time. That is not the same as friendship. (This is not a bad thing — i would not say i was a “good friend” of his Holiness Dalai Lama either, even though i would do anything for him 🙂 )

The other point is, i was saying this because it is my job to support Tibet however i can. It upsets me to see these negative and destructive comments, on many websites, because i think they cause hurt to Tibetans and to Tibet. I usually swallow it, but after 10 years, i thought this time “why don’t i try to say something? Maybe my experience will help, if i can try to say it in a good way.” And since i am admin of this website, maybe this is the right place for me to speak up.

        > May be he told you that or he is some of Few Tibetans who are good at what you heard.
Nope 🙂 We only discuss technical things — i am only a programmer. And i am way old enough, by far, not to be influenced by anyone trying to tell me how great they are! (Which LW does not do, by the way.)

I hope this helps explain better what i was trying to say. Please let me know.

Thanks again, and i look forward to more discussion!

One reason we left Tibet is because we can’t tolerate the humiliation and the torture the red Chinese are doing to Tibetans, it hurts when we are looked down or call us with some harsh words,(it hurts me at least). if we have to tolerate such humiliations, why not be in our own country. We would have the pride to die in our country, if not for Tibet.

          Thanks Mr. admin.

    Dear Lobsang Wangyal —
Last time I was amazed to see the design and left a brief comment on it.
This time I am going to write in some detais my ideas on it.

“Simple design, but a far-sighted vision”

The snow white mountain represents the trans-Himalayan mountain range south of Tibet that stretches from Arunachal Pradesh in the east to Ladakh in the west.

The white colour symbolises peace. A peaceful atmosphere that abounds there by virtue of the culture of peace and non-violence.

The turquoise blue sky represents purity of the environment. The transparent and pristine blue colour emphasizes the clean earth, water, air, and sky over the entire region that is free from pollution, and the need for their preservation.

The seamless convergence of the snow mountain and the blue sky represents living harmony of peace and environment between the daily life of the people and environment.

I wish the Miss Himalaya Pageant a grand success.
    Thank you
    Regards

    Tsering Choekyap
