Terms and conditions to enter Miss Himalaya Pageant

Note: Application to compete in the Miss Himalaya Pageant 2020 will open on 1 May 2020 and close on 31 July 2020.

  • I understand the pageant I am entering is Miss Himalaya Pageant 2020, which is only for young ladies from the Himalayan region. The event is organised to celebrate the beautiful cultures, people, and nature of the Himalayan region. Documentation to prove my ethnic Himalayan background must be submitted along with the online application form.
  • I understand this event is for women between the ages of 17 and 25 years of age, in the ten Indian states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura; the hill regions of Assam and West Bengal; and Bhutan, Nepal, and Tibet. Documentation showing date of birth must be submitted along with the online application form.
  • The required height for participation is minimum 165 cm and maximum 176 cm.
  • I understand that: An entry fee is required as a sign of good faith — Rs. 1,000 (India, Nepal, Bhutan). Your application will not be considered until receipt of your entry fee, which must be transferred to the Director Lobsang Wangyal by 10 August 2019 to Account no: 10219842549, State Bank of India, IFSC Code: SBIN 0004250.
  • I understand that the winner will be given a cheque of Rs 100,000, the first runner-up Rs 50,000 and the second runner-up a cheque of Rs 25,000. Delegates will be responsible for paying any taxes, if applicable, on any prizes.
  • I understand that the decisions made by the judges and online and sms voting (if any) will be final and binding. No disputes in this regard will be entertained.
  • I understand that participation in any events or offers such as modelling, acting, advertisement, public appearances; whether paid or unpaid, should all be carried out in consultation with the director of the pageant for a year from day of crowning. Lobsang Wangyal Productions shall be responsible for collecting fees for each completed contract.
  • I understand that I cannot use my image as Miss Himalaya Pageant participant, logos, or slogans to any parade, event, or programme without the consent of the Director of the Miss Himalaya Pageant.
  • I accept that Miss Himalaya Pageant manage and use my image and contents in interviews and the application form and the materials to be reproduced, modified, adapted, published, translated, create derivative works of and distribute such materials or incorporate such materials into any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed.
  • The Miss Himalaya Pageant producer will provide contestants with hotel room, meals, and transportation for the official events during the event.
  • I understand that Miss Himalaya Pageant is a beauty and talent competition. With that in mind I commit to be in good physical shape. In the case of not being in good shape for the event, the Miss Himalaya Pageant Director and Producer has the right to disqualify the participant at any time during the competition.
  • I understand that the Miss Himalaya Pageant title belongs to Lobsang Wangyal Productions In that regard, I can never use the title for personal profit with any company or agency without written authorisation of the Director.
  • I understand that I have to follow and respect all the timelines, deliver all documentation, and all other responsibilities of the event. If I do not follow any of these rules I could be disqualified as a participant or crowned winner.
  • I understand the Miss Himalaya Pageant producer is not responsible for any personal belongings. In this sense I understand I cannot complain in the case of any of my personal belongings being missing.
  • I understand and agree that the Miss Himalaya Pageant organiser is not responsible for any accident or injury during the event.
  • I understand that under any circumstances the organiser will not refund any of the money already paid by me or my manager in the case of withdrawal or disqualification.
  • I understand that, if I fail to comply with the entry procedure, I as a participant will be penalised with disqualification and possible lawsuit for damaging the image of the Miss Himalaya Pageant title.
  • I understand that if i am the winner of Miss Himalaya Pageant, I will have to remain two more days in the host place for previously-arranged commitments for the winner.
